A good coating starts with a clean, prepared surface
Before parts are powder coated or wet painted, they go through pre-treatment. It cleans the surface and prepares it so the coating can grip and last.
At our Perai facility we carry out two pre-treatment processes, clear chromate and zinc phosphate, each on its own line.
- Chromating line
- Zinc phosphate auto line
- Prepares parts for powder coating or wet painting
Two processes, matched to your material
The right process depends mainly on what your part is made of. Tell us the material and we will confirm which one suits it.
Clear chromate
A chromate conversion coating forms a thin protective layer on the metal surface. It is commonly used on aluminium and gives the coating a better surface to bond to.
Chromating LineZinc phosphate
A zinc phosphate conversion coating forms a fine crystalline layer on the metal surface. It is commonly used on steel and improves adhesion and corrosion resistance.

Process water is treated on site
Pre-treatment uses process water. Our facility has its own wastewater treatment plant, so that water is treated on site.
